Meeting Information |
Meets the fourth Tuesday of each
month at 7:00 P.M. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 600 Walnut St., Cary, NC,
room 105b except:
-
there are no meetings in June
and July
-
the December meeting is usually
a dinner with the Raleigh ANG, held at a restaurant. Cardinal
Chapter and ANG rotate host responsibilities.
Each
monthly business meeting is followed by an educational program. In the
past, these programs have included stitching projects, slide presentations,
and guest lectures. The programs are a great opportunity to learn new
things, and members are encouraged to share their talents and lead
programs. Past stitching projects have included needlepoint, beading,
hardanger, crazy quilting, hemstitching, cross stitching, stumpwork, and
many other techniques.
The
May meeting is our annual potluck dinner and usually starts at 6:30 pm. The
September meeting includes our annual show of members’ needlework.
In
addition to our monthly meetings, several stitch-ins are held each month at
members’ homes. All members are welcome to attend stitch-ins to work on any
project. Scheduled stitch-ins are listed within each newsletter.
Cardinal Chapter members have varied interests and we enjoy learning new
techniques. The Cardinal Chapter has participated in several EGA
Correspondence Courses and workshops on various embroidery techniques.
Members have also attended many regional and national seminars and
workshops. |
