Meeting Information

Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 A.M. at the All Saints Episcopal Church , 525 Lake Concord Road, Concord, NC.  The meeting place is handicap accessible.

The chapter's program in 2006 will be a Band of Stitches designed by Rachel Whittington.  Each month we will study a stitch and its variations.  Did you know that there are 17 varieties of chain stitch?  We will also discuss possible uses for each stitch and colorways to consider.

Programs in 2005 included "Rhapsody", a canvas design from Amybear Needlepoints , "Sentimental Basket" designed by Louise Henderson.  Chapter members took a  trip to Rock Hill, SC, to tour the studio of Dottie Moore, a nationally known fiber artist and quilter

Programs for 2004 included "Pulled Thread Pincushion Reproduction," "Ins and Outs of Cross Stitch" over one Thread, "Blue Hydrangea" Brazilian embroidery, how thread twist affects stitching, motivational techniques, and a day on the town in Charlotte exploring the Museum of Craft and Design and the Mint Museum.

An annual holiday lunch and ornament exchange is held in December.  We often travel in April or May.  August is our annual meeting.
