Scotch Bonnet Chapter

Wilmington, North Carolina

 

Origin

Founded in 1985.  Current membership is about 21.

 

Scotch Bonnet is the state seashell of North Carolina.

 

Meeting Information

Meets from 9:30 A.M. - Noon on the third Monday of each month at a member's home.  There are no meetings in July and August.

A winter stitch-in is held in February, and a  summer stitch-in is in July.

 

Membership

Annual dues are $34.00 through September 30, 2005, then $44.00 thereafter; plural $15.00.

 

Guests

Guests are invited to join after two visits.

 

Special Interest Groups

 

 

 

Outreach

Members teach different needlework techniques to 4-Hers during summer vacation, stitch items to be sold at the Hospice Festival of Trees, and contribute needlework kits to the ante partum unit at the local hospital.

 

Newsletter

The Scotch Bonnet is published every other month.
