Carolinas Region, EGA, Inc.The Carolinas Region includes 18 chapters located in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia representing about 450 members. Our purpose is to encourage all textile arts, especially those using a needle with an eye. We promote the study of history, art and all subjects related to textile arts and embroidery. Executive CommitteeThe elected officersThe Executive Committee supervises the affairs of the region between board meetings, and performs other duties as specified by the board of directors. It meets between meetings of the board of directors. Quorum: majority of its members. Board of DirectorsThe elected officers, standing committee chairs, and two representatives from each chapter. Board members serving in more than one capacity have one vote. The board of Directors conducts business which is necessary to the operation of the region, including adopting a budget, electing officers, amending bylaws, and receiving officers and committees reports. Quorum: 1/3 of member chapters (currently 7 of 19). The center is our primary location for education, distribution of needlework related materials, and publications to members and to the public.
