Outreach: |
Habitat for Humanity samplers is an ongoing project for the Aiken Stitchin’ Belles, as well as
“Cuddle Buddies”, small fleece blankets with soft animal heads for the children in the area children shelters. We are
also doing bookmarks for the Aiken County Library summer children’s program and a local Aiken women’s organization
literacy program in the fall.
For the sixth year our chapter has held classes in a local Aiken school to further interest in needle arts. Knitting, cross stitching, and canvas work
have been some of the mini-classes offered to the students.
