The chapter was established in October 1975, and was named "Millwood" for the home of Confederate General Wade Hampton.

Meeting Information: |
Regular meetings are held at 2:00 P.M. (except June and December are luncheons) the second Sunday of each month at Spring
Valley Country Club, 300 Spring Valley Road, Columbia, SC. There are no meetings in July and August. Handicap accessible .
Meetings are generally devoted to stitching, and the chapter tries to have an ongoing group project. Currently, members are working on Gayle Bicknell’s “Pieces of Eight” as a year-long project. Those not participating in the project bring their own
stitching to meetings. Over the years Millwood Chapter has done many EGA group correspondence courses as well as some of the smaller projects.

Annual dues are $48.00 prorated through May 2011; $55.00 thereafter.

Guests are welcome to attend two meetings before deciding to join.

Several members are enjoying stitching Temari balls. |
Outreach: |
The current project is framed samplers for new homeowners
under the Habitat for Humanity program.
Millwood Chapter has done a wide range of outreach activities including baby quilts for battered women's shelters, a funeral pall
for the SC Correctional Institution, dolls for children's hospitals, and several items for the Governor's Mansion.
